Аннотация:
Peace, Love, and Petrol Bombs is largely aimed at disaffected teens seeking alternative role models. While not a specifically «young adult» novel, the book is appropriate for a wide age range of readers. The story is set in the context of the anti-globalization protests at the end of the twentieth century, so it should be of interest to thirty-something activists who were involved in the anti-globalization movement, as well as to younger readers. Most novels that treat anarchism in any significant way focus on the image of the «bomb-throwing terrorist» angle. PLPB treats its young anarchist protagonists as real people, and follows them as they come of age politically and socially.Written with loads of dry British humor and wit, PLPB is a great read … and an antidote to «serious» political fiction. This book has a political message, but it's ultimately a good story, first and foremost.
