Dedication
This book is dedicated first and foremost to my darling wife Vera who is always by my side, supporting me through the ups and downs of life. Helping me to find my true path in life and to ask the right “what would happen if…” questions – and to find the right answers, too!
I would also like to express my appreciation for my mother Piera. She has been a great help to me throughout my life. During my growing-up years, she consistently pointed me in the right direction, and even though I sometimes chose to walk a different path, I certainly learnt a great deal from her. Mama, I thank you with all my heart for all that you’ve done for me in my life!
To my lovely sister Manu: she is always there for me when it counts, even now, despite the fact that we have reached a certain age…
And last but not least to my father who is always contented and lets life’s little problems just roll off him.

Introduction
What Would Happen If was written because we humans invoke these four words a thousand times a day or more, whether we realize it or not – in fact, we often invoke them subconsciously.
And yet, we tend to disregard these four words to the point that, when we really need them, we don’t even remember them.
But when we learn to make proper use of “what would happen if…” then these words can be utilized thousands of times a day to move us to where we want to be in life.
These four words are able to serve as our signposts, telling us what we should or should not do. However, we are often so oblivious to them that we simply don’t remember to utilize these signposts, these four words, to our advantage. We would do well to make good use of them, for our wellbeing and for reaching our goals, but never, ever, to the detriment of others.
I have written this book to bring these four words back into our lives and enable us to make better use of them.
Chapter 1
“What Would Happen If…”
What would happen if…
1. … I was wealthy?
2. … I was always successful?
3. … I was always healthy?
4. … I was always happy and fortunate?
5. … I was always joyful?
These are the “what would happen if…” questions I deliberately ask myself every day, the questions I base my life on.
Every day, there are many more questions than those five “what would happen if…” but those five are the ones everything else revolves around. As you can see, the questions are always the same, although, when I started this, there were two “what would happen if…” questions that have remained of the utmost importance to me personally.
These “what would happen if…” questions are related to my goals in life, the ones on which all else is based, the ones that help me face every new morning with great motivation. However, if all you do is say these four words but you don’t act on them, you might as well be doing the opposite – in other words, you might as well just go for the negative.
“What would happen if…” is the crux of whatever you choose to do or not to do in your life. Basically, each “what would happen if…” question only ever has two answers: a positive one and a negative one. Which does not necessarily mean that, just because something appears negative right now, it will still appear negative by the time you reach your goal.
Not acting on a “what would happen if…” leads to negativity, because then the issue tends to be fear. Doing nothing in fact indicates great fear and a refusal to act in your own best interest. It is not enough to just leave things as they are – to move forward, you have to really “do” something. Moving forward requires making decisions and then acting on them.
Thinking about things does not automatically result in actually taking action. Taking action means moving forward in the direction you decided on, and that includes everything you do and every step you take. We always need to try to give our “what would happen if…” a positive slant, to look at it in a positive way. Only then can we be sure to achieve what we set out to achieve – namely that which we selected as our goals when we answered our most important “what would happen if…” questions. Only when you utilize the “what would happen if…” questions in a positive way, will you achieve that which you truly wish to achieve.
Someone who utilizes “what would happen if…” questions in a negative way will also achieve what he sets out to achieve, since he has imagined the outcome in his head and so will act accordingly. But of course this outcome would not be the one he was really dreaming of, because he would be blocking that which would be of benefit to him. Of benefit is all that moves us forward and brings us joy – that’s why it is so great to set out to achieve wealth, success, health, happiness and good fortune, and joy.
You can achieve these five qualities only by positive effort and by taking the appropriate action.
