      Introduction

      The Royal wedding was an unmissable event for a photographer. The collection of interesting people and the pageantry and the excitement made it an unforgettable feast of imagery with a compelling story attached to it. Over a three day period I circulated around the Mall and up to Westminster Abbey. There was a fascinating collection of people who wanted to experience the event. Not for them the convenience of television. They wanted to see it in the raw. To witness history in the making. There was a plethora of television cameras, 60 alone in Westminster Abbey. It seemed that the whole route was double equipped with cameras. As the event came closer you could feel the anticipation rise. The crowds expanded.

      Everywhere people were erecting pop up tents and preparing for a party, as the world waited for fairytale history to be made.
