      Тегеранская конференция состоялась 28 ноября – 1 декабря в Тегеране (Иран). В ходе ее руководители трех союзных во 2-й мировой войне держав – СССР (И. В. Сталин), США (Ф. Рузвельт) и Великобритании (У. Черчилль) – приняли Декларации о действиях в войне против Германии и о послевоенном сотрудничестве, решение об открытии не позднее 1 мая 1944 второго фронта в Европе, о послевоенных границах Польши и др. Делегация СССР обещала объявить войну Японии после разгрома германской армии. Германские спецслужбы пытались организовать покушение на руководителей стран антигитлеровской коалиции, которое было предотвращено советской разведкой.
