She folded her arms across her chest, cutting off his view.
“I spoke to you nearly every day.”
Her eyebrows shot up. “Oh, right. Good morning, Sara. See you tomorrow, Sara. Is Dakota in her office? Have her call me when she gets in. Have you finished typing the Murphy briefs?” With a resigned shake of her head, she added, “I stand corrected. You talked to me all the time.”
The earlier sarcasm had been much easier to take. She was being unreasonable. “The office is no place for small talk.”
