He wrapped an arm around her shoulders and hugged her back before pressing a light kiss to the top of her head, then pausing to push the mute button on his phone. “Take this,” he said, pulling a roll of one-hundred-dollar bills from his pocket and slipping it into the pocket of her jacket. “Do not, under any circumstances, use your credit cards,” he said. “If you need more, you call me.”
