through.
No sooner had they reached down to the mountain to go across, than they became dog-tired. Smell of blood started hovering over their surroundings, which led them to think of the fear of vultures. Amidst the tiredness, they looked at the beauty of the plum blossom. Wheezing, huffing, and yawning! Energy boosted up in them to climb up the unfriendly rocky mountain using an unsecured vine ladder. They ascended on the terrifying cliff. I was looking towards them through the cell window of the prison. Closing my eyes, I thought I could not endeavour to bear that free rein of joy to meet them. Woe is me. They’re not there. Don’t worry, my chained life.
They descended to the other side of the mountain valley. They had some light breakfast down to the valley and resumed for another adventure. On the way, they found themselves surrounded by a wide wetland. There were no boats for the trip. My son was very creative, I know. My beloved son! He went to the bush, collected some dry tree log trunks, and made some ropes out of yucca plants to assemble them like a boat. Two flat thin logs were with them to row the boat. Normally, it should take two hours to reach down to the city, but due to their immense love and determination to rescue me from the down streams of the prison, they made it possible in an hour.
They reached to the door of the lawyer with tiresome bodies and uncouth appearances as if wounded war guys had appeared out of nowhere of the world. They were called inside. At first, he felt pity. However, they had to pay the consultancy fees. Upon hearing everything, he refused to take the case against the government. Since they came across that perilous journey with hopes and aspirations, such a hopeless response made them terribly sad.
Woooooooooing…… Sounds came from the cell gate. Sounds of the boots, and then strong kicks and voices, "Wake up, you demon sleeper! Get ready to enjoy day one." My eyes opened from a deep sleep of that dream. I could not endure that dream would be so unrealistic. My heart melted in mourning at that loss.
With my face down on the floor, I looked at the horrible looking ferocious armed officer. I could not boost my energy to prepare myself to enjoy more tortures for the day.
Chapter 5
Down to a lake, surrounded with evergreen trees and heavenly flowers, there appeared two dead bodies, wrapped up with angelic white coffins, as if none cared to bury them except flocks of heavenly angels carrying them in that solitary place. Diverse butterflies with elegant colours, crows and rooks with tears in eyes, and fresh gentle breeze with its sober and solemn attitude were taking care of them, guarding them, and expressing condolences towards them. Amidst that silent mourning of the morning, no human being was required to be there to look after those insignificant burdens of the society. Three crows next to the heads, three rooks back to their feet, all butterflies lining up both sides, and the soothing breeze over them had been protecting them from any type of unexpected dangers. One of the crows untied their wrapped white clothes to open their faces. Another walked towards the bank of the lake, grabbed a bit of water within its beak, and splashed on their faces. Every half an hour they had been trying that by turns. However, till the late afternoon they remained as quiet as dead plants. I was taken there along with them, but was made to sit down away from them and was instructed not to approach them until the evening.
I had been waiting with a full of lamented, joyful, hopeful, and a patient soul since my arrival over here. As the daylight was getting blurry, I could barely recognise their faces and the protectors around. When darkness started covering the lake view and the horizon, I was about to get suffocated due to overwhelmed fear and despair.
While I was diving deep into that state of mind, clouds over my head moved away and opened the gate of the full moon for me. An oasis of non-harmful serenity filled up my heart to encourage my courage and exuberance so that I could walk towards them to see alive. As soon as I came closer, all the protective soldiers bowed down their heads and opened wings to welcome me. I sat across the right of their faces. I sensed a heavenly smell which I did never experience before. I touched my mum’s face wishing she had got back some sense by that time.
“My son, my love! I know how much passionate you are to get me back in your life. I know how much caring you are when I need to be cared for. I know how much pain in your heart for all of us.”
While listening to her, I gently rubbed another hand on the face of my little pity sister.
“Brother, please get ready for the dinner. Ask mum to wake up. Dad is gonna serve the food very soon.”
Tears dripped down on my cheeks. Grief poured in me in full swing to flood my existence, the way heavy rains cause floods and ruin everything down under. Soundless and harmless thunders stroke my heart. I got tongue-tired.
She continued, “Look after your dad. Never ever get trapped with anything except the way he wants you to grow up.”
All of a sudden, the whole environment turned into downy reddish clouded dawn. Eight people, like whom I had never seen any human being before, appeared there.
“Dear boy, we need to carry them to the unknown world. They will be safe in our hands.”
I got horrified again. “How can I lose them again? Just now, I got them alive. No. No……..” I shouted.
One of the police officers poked my tummy with the rifle bayonet and asked me to “shut up”. On top of the grief of real loss and the real like dream, I burst into cry in and out.
I saw lighting and shops around. They stopped for a while. Some tiny light bulbs were twinkling inside the vehicle. Sooner I became terribly hungry. I looked at them with my innocent-harmful-hunger-looking eyes and meant to provide me some food to survive if possible. Instead they laughed at me, misbehaved with me, and pointed at me to look at some street dogs as if I could will to share some food with them. I denied nodding my head. I just wished if I could get at least the freedom and rights like the street animals to get some humanitarian help.
Chapter 6
With him, there joined another armed officer with a metal doggy bowl of freaking hot foods and drinks. They made me sit down on the floor and pointed with sticks on to the breakfast. I wished to have just minimum at least to survive. However, they were not edible and drinkable. Rotten smelly soup, upon which blind and hairless pink baby pups were helplessly floating in the midst of smoke evaporation, killed my appetite and sense of self and had already caused abdominal cramps. I could not discover the elements of the boiling water. However, I sensed the smell of animals' urine boiled with water. Never ever I thought kitchen utensils also got suffered in jail. They forced me to eat and drink. I denied. Then one of them jumped onto my chest and held my head tight. The other came with a steel Mouth Gag Retractor and forcefully put it into my mouth so that they could force me to eat and drink those decomposed rubbish. I was helpless enough to move and to protest, except torturing my existence against my desire, against my heart, against my wellbeing, and against my soul. And then…… and then - I can't tell. I vomited a lot, and unfortunately there was no way to clean.
