Perform all your actions in normal daily dress. Do not make the mistake of practicing only on a smooth, flat surface such as a gym floor, but try to make these responses on grass, gravel, paved and unpaved surfaces. This will bring you closer to reality—the situations as they could really happen.
The responses of this chapter are given in terms of one side, either on the right or left, but in most instances the other side may and should be learned by simply reversing the instructions.
