WHARFEDALE, LITTONDALE, MALHAMDALE, DENTDALE AND RIBBLESDALE

About the Authors
Although both natives of Lancashire and living not far from Preston, Dennis and Jan Kelsall regard the Yorkshire Dales as within their back yard and regularly walk there.
As professional outdoor writers and photographers, they have written and illustrated many guides covering some of the UK’s most popular walking areas and, as well as contributing to various magazines, produce a weekly walking feature for the Lancashire Evening Post.
Their enjoyment of the countryside extends far beyond a love of fresh air and open spaces and an appreciation of scenery. They have a keen interest in the environment, its geology and wildlife, as well as a passion for delving into the local history that so often provides a clue to interpreting the landscape.

Advice to readers
While every effort is made by our authors to ensure the accuracy of guidebooks as they go to print, changes can occur during the lifetime of an edition. If we know of any, there will be an Updates tab on this book’s page on the Cicerone website (www.cicerone.co.uk/885/updates), so please check before planning your trip. We also advise that you check information about such things as transport, accommodation and shops locally. Even rights of way can be altered over time. We are always grateful for information about any discrepancies between a guidebook and the facts on the ground, sent by email to [email protected] or by post to Cicerone, 2 Police Square, Milnthorpe LA7 7PY, United Kingdom.
