The Angel and His Witch

There were plenty of men that would make a good husband for her. These and other thoughts plagued his mind on his walk home. He was a little worried that the flashy nightwalker would try to take her from him, but he heard a voice of one of Rissy’s clan very clearly stating that he was of no concern. Only Freya could have allowed that one to know his thoughts and he knew that would not happen.

What neither Rissy nor her soul knew was that Johann had not been with another since the last time he had been with her. He knew it was significant when he discovered that Rissy was the dominant and as he looked back over the years it had been her that had always been so though she may appear to some to weak and mild. He theorized that she came as Risanne to get her fill of her physical pleasure. Risanne had never remained a virgin and had many lovers until he and she met. She was faithful after their meetings. So much so it scared him at times. Rissy long ago told him that she would never be unfaithful to him and in a way he had actually forced her to be and that in and of itself almost killed her and himself though he could never tell her that. Why his thoughts always went back to that time escaped him but then it was a time of great change in their relationship. Rissy of old would have laughed to have heard that he had not found someone to pleasure him. She might have gone so far as to call him the silver-tongued liar, but she would know deep down if he were lying or not and when she realized that he was being truthful would faint and possibly offer herself there on the spot whether anyone was present or not. He laughed to himself as he visualized that.

Finally he reached home and kissed Svelta and Charlotte’s cheeks and shook Randolf’s hand before going up to his room. The room overlooked the square where the house was located and it happened to be a place where Rissy would pass on her way to work. He actually slept late the following morning and it irritated him because he had planned to meet Rissy “accidentally” as he went to retrieve the morning paper. He had noticed from his gathered reports that Rissy walked to work. As he looked out his bedroom window that morning, he saw Rissy passing by and he knew where she would be after work. He read a little and while unpacking found an old book, a very old book on architecture. It was still inscribed very legibly “For my dear friend from his ward, R”. He had always kept this book close by ever since she had it delivered to him. She knew who he would eventually end up with, though they both still loved each other dearly. There was something between he and Rissy that no one could break and when tried he would cause pain and suffering as a long ago husband of Rissy’s had found out the hard way. He looked through the book and smiled. So many of the styles of architecture there was no more and these modern machines could never reproduce the love and detail that these builders had. People were no longer proud of their work and this saddened him. He wondered how many of the world’s evils would be erased if man could actually become proud of his work again and also how lovely it may once again become.

The hour of the meeting was close at hand and he went upstairs for his shower. He couldn’t help but still love his finely tailored white shirts, but he had become fond of jeans except when he went out and tonight was not a jean night by any means. He had to look his best but no go so far as to wear his tuxedo. He did find a nice pair of khaki pants. Apparently Charlotte had decided that he needed to update his wardrobe. He was looking at putting on a tie when Svelta entered and explained that few people dressed like that anymore. He wondered if he had stayed in the house and gardens for as long as it was appearing. Apparently Svelta knew what he was thinking and just replied “Yes.” He was finally ready and was as nervous as a whore in church. He had to laugh at that thought. Rissy would have said that. He said his goodbyes and Randolf had to speak up and say “Well I would say that I’d make sure there are clean linens on the bed, but since it is Miss Rissy, I know it wouldn’t matter because you will retire alone.” Johann shot him a look that would and has killed. Svelta told him to watch his tongue before he ended up on the street and she would deny ever knowing him. Charlotte giggled at that thought.

Johann almost flew to the meeting place. Once he arrived, Rissy was already there sitting at a table with a few of her friends. He watched her quietly for awhile. Several men had approached her offering buy her drinks but she refused. He smiled and chuckled and knew what he would do. He leaned over and whispered to the bartender. She looked at him strangely but soon came to him with a mug. He walked over to the table and looked right into those hazel hues. Her friends just watched to see what would happen. Johann almost bowed but realized quickly that it was no longer the custom. “Miss I see that you are quite bored with the selection here. May I offer you this cup of coffee?” Her friends giggled, but she looked at him and smiled. “Thank you, sir. How did you know this was what I was wanting,” He had to stifle a chuckle. “It just seemed that this is something that you would enjoy. My name is Johann.” “Well thank you Johann. My name is Rissy Moonshower and I must say that it is nice meeting you.” Her friends were aghast. She had never had much to say to any man. She looked at him quizzically before stating “How did you know I like it black?” “It really was a wild guess Rissy.” At this point the friend sitting next to Rissy got up and moved to the other side of the table to leave her seat for Johann who nodded to her. “Would you mind if I joined you?” Rissy smiled and patted the seat. “I would like that.” now her friends were really confused. Yes Rissy had dated and yes she was personable but no one had ever noticed her being this familiar with a man she had never met before. He talked with her and her friends never trying to separate them and including them all in the conversations. They noticed his accent and inquired where he was from and he told them that he was from Germany. Rissy smiled and stated that her family had come from there. Her friends whispered among themselves and then all of the including Rissy had to go powder their noses. He sat there and thought that he had really screwed this up and was trying to think of a way to repair the situation, but he could not think of what he had said wrong or done wrong. Soon they came back and asked him to forgive them for taking so long. Rissy’s face was flushed and he quickly scanned their minds and almost burst out laughing. They had forced her to take some condoms and giving her advice on how to get through her first time. She had protested the whole time and had become very embarrassed. A song came on and one of her friends leaned over and whispered to him that this was Rissy’s favorite song and pointed softly to the dance area.

Johann stood and asked Rissy to dance and the look on her friends’ faces dared her not to. She nodded yes without saying a word but glared at her friends. He took her hand and led her to the dance floor. She whispered that she really couldn’t dance. He leaned over and whispered “That’s because you have not had a decent partner until now.” She thought that was rather arrogant. “We will see then.” She suddenly led him onto the floor. His first thought was that she is more aggressive than in the past. To her surprise she leaned into him and followed his movements as though they had always danced together. Her friends watched and were surprised that she was actually dancing with supreme grace and style. Rissy laughed as Johann twirled her around. She said that it felt as though she was dancing on air. Her friends who had planned on leaving her there with him were so enthralled by the change in Rissy that they stayed. Johann and Rissy danced the night away. Rissy had never heard so many soft slow songs played before but was glad. She did not want to leave his arms, but could not understand why. It was nice for a man to hold her and dance with her without grabbing everything. She found herself snuggling close against him and though this frightened her a bit she was not going to let this go. She was going to enjoy it for however long it lasted.

The music ended and they headed back to the table when one of the men who had asked her if she wanted a drink and to dance approached her and called her a slut. Johann stopped suddenly and stared into the man’s eyes and asked him to apologize. He was ready to kill. Mortals were nothing to him and he could not tolerate the men for long. To Johann it seemed as though that gender had never evolved. Rissy turned quickly and before she even knew what she said it came out “Have you ever danced with the Devil? If not you are about to have the pleasure, I did and it was out of this world but something tells me it won’t be nearly as enjoyable for you.” Johann became distracted as he heard Rissy speak and the fool took a swing catching him in the jaw. Johann escorted the man outside and around back. Rissy snuck out to watch. She had been tired of this man for quite some time. She had danced with him once and he had rubbed himself all over her and she had to use her magic to make him pass out that night and was glad that someone else was going to take care of this fool. All she saw was a bright light and then just Johann standing
