Chapter 1: Astronomy
Since the days of Egypt, the days of Sodom & Gomorrah, the days of Babylon man has been fascinated to find answers within the stars above. They have been able to fashion many tools to predict constellation alignments, the seasons, and the times in which they are living in. These traditions of looking to the stars have transcended through time and are still practiced to this very day.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1
These traditions of looking to the stars for answers have been adopted within many organizations such as Astrology (Zodiac Signs), Astronomy (Science), and Religion (i.e. the Catholic VATT), but what is the point? Why are they looking to the stars for answers when the word gives us all the answers we will ever need?
So, we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18
And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars—all the heavenly array—do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things the Lord your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven. Deuteronomy 4:19
If they are looking to the stars to know when Jesus is returning, that would be understandable, because it has been written in prophecy of certain constellation alignments. The word in which was given by God for us to do. However, it is not understandable for the large telescopes and satellites for exploration. What is the point of that? The word has already taught us how everything was created in the book of Genesis.
"And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory. Matthew 24:30
The assumption then goes to the original school of thought that man and science are under the impression that God doesn’t exist, so they are figuring out how everything was created. Even more than that, they are trying to figure out how to explore something that was not made for them. Where they are going is beyond comprehension, there is nothing worth traveling to that is beyond the earth that was given to us. It sure does seem like a big waste of time to reinvent the wheel, a wheel that was designed and created by an entity that is far superior for any of us to ever comprehend, let alone understand. How can someone truly understand something that they know nothing of?
As Zoar progressed from Zoroastrianism in the times of Babylon to Egypt to today’s modern science known as Astronomy, the theories of creation have become quite extraordinary and rather confusing. Although there are many theories about how the universe was created, we are going to just focus on the theory that is most accurate to what actually happened at the beginning of creation, known as the Big Bang Theory.
The Big Bang Theory was first theorized by George Lemaitre, a Belgian Priest, in the 1920s. His theory stated that some sort of cosmic explosion occurred from a single primordial atom. This theory is not to far off from the truth, however the complexities of how this “cosmic explosion” occurred is rather vague, if not absent. It is almost as if this theory of a cosmic explosion was both random and obscure, not identifying any real context as to how or why the explosion occurred.
The Big Bang Theory picked up a lot of momentum due to Albert Einstein’s work that supported the theory. Einstein is best known for his theory of general and special relativity that gave birth to space-time fabric and the gravitational laws that superseded Sir Isaac Newtons theories on force and gravity.
Einstein was able to mathematically quantify the behavior of gravity within the four-dimensional realm we experience here on earth. The space-time fabric closely supported the Big Bang Theory within respects to the behavior of how the universe was expanding. All together Einstein’s theories gave birth to a daughter of Astronomy known as Quantum Mechanics the Physical component of how all things are created.
Einstein was able to determine that the universe was expanding mathematically, but he is quite perplexed by the rate of the expansion. According to his theory of relativity he thought for sure the gravitational laws of space-time fabric would slow down the expansion, but thanks to Edwin Hubble and his telescope, it was observed and determined that the opposite was occurring. The rate of expansion was founded by Edwin Hubble, known as the Hubble Constant (H0) and recently verified by a competing constant known as the ESA’s Planck Constant supported by the European Space Agency’s Planck Satellite.
And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. Genesis1:7
There are multiple arguments as to whether to call it the firmament or the expanse. Regardless of the verbiage that is used, the word in question is an action of growth that separates or divides the waters from another type of waters; dark waters.
So, what does all of this mean? Why should anyone care? Well, according to Darwin, we all evolved from apes or monkey’s, right? I wonder how long it took for man to evolve from a primitive animal? I wonder how old the word of God is? The very word we are still able to read to this very day? Although the biological creation will not be discussed in this book, these questions are still good ones to ponder over.
Now how in the world can a primitive civilization know such things? A culture that predates the global flood. That predates most of the old testament, before the days of Noah, before the days of Babylon, before the days of science, before the days of the Hubble Telescope that was produced in the 1920s. Food for thought.
Astronomy Key Points
Regardless of the current arguments that have been identified by the worldly religions within their beliefs, it is important to note that Science to is a religion of beliefs. Within the current context of the religion of Science it is imperative to note three things:
1. there is some sort of constant rate that is causing the universe to expand
2. there is a space-time fabric that gives way to a gravitational law that we experience here on earth that forces us not to float away (giving weight to all matter).
3. there is some kind of cosmic explosion that occurred that gave birth to all things, living, seen, and unseen within our universe.
