Chapter 1
What is in an iPad?
The iPad is the blanket name for tablets created by Apple that also includes the iPad Pro. Different models and sizes of Apple's tablets are on the market, and indeed, they're different, but the name iPad Pro is the one thing they have in common. Apple's iPad Pro uses touch screen technology and can sometimes even double as a PC. The iPad first came into the market in 2010 and since then, Apple has updated the iOS versions and released newer and sleeker models. Apple's iPad Pro is now of four kinds: iPad, iPad mini, iPad Pro., and more recently, iPad Pro Air.
An iPad Pro usually comes in either gray, gold, or silver color, they're super thin and easy to carry around because of their lightweight, which is fantastic because they can perform most of the functions of a cumbersome laptop. You can take them anywhere. Not only this, but their battery power of up to 10 hours allows you to use them for long without worrying about charging.
The screen of an iPad Pro is larger than that of an iPhone at 12.9 inches and is enhanced by LCD. However, the sizes differ based on the lines of production as some models are significantly closer to phones in size. While the iPad Pro like its fellow Apple products uses an on-screen keyboard, there's an option for using a physical keyboard by connecting the iPad Pro to the Apple-made Wireless Keyboard or any wireless keyboard through Bluetooth.
How is an iPad Pro Different from an iPhone?
The differences between both devices run deeper than their sizes. While it's an obvious distinction, the size, which was once a significant difference, has changed over the years. While some versions of the iPhones have become larger, some iPad models in the form of the iPad mini have become smaller. The size advantage that the iPad Pro has over the iPhone means that the former can handle a split-screen, allowing the tablet to operate two apps at once. You can also use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word on your iPad Pro while that's not possible on an iPhone. However, the iPhone is still more portable than an iPad Pro.
Another distinction is the ability of iPhones to make phone calls using a cellular network whereas the iPad Pro cannot. Apart from this, where all iPhones can use cellular data, there are some versions of the iPad Pro that cannot perform this function.
Also, where an iPad Pro can use apps optimized for both their systems and those made especially for iPhones, an iPhone cannot use apps meant for an iPad Pro. However, apps meant for iPhones don't display very well on an iPad Pro and may end up being grainy.
Comparing iPad Pro vs an Android Device
The major difference between an iPad Pro and an Android device is their operating systems. Apple's iPad Pro functions using the iOS and Android tablets run on Google's Android. Also, while the iPad Pro is specifically the line of tablets produced by Apple, Android tablets are made by a variety of companies.
The decision between an Android tablet and an iPad Pro comes down to which product's features better fit your needs. The iPad Pro has a simpler operating system and a more user-friendly interface. The Apple app store has a lot of well-optimized applications and a lot of variety for iPad Pro users. A downside to using an iPad Pro is that the storage cannot be enlarged using an SD card. Though this can be fixed with the use of an external hard drive.
While Android tablets enable multitasking and choosing another browser apart from the default one. There are also a variety of Android tablets to choose from that can fit the specs one is looking for.
Either way, they both have their strengths and weaknesses and it's all about picking which works best for you.
Why Should I Buy an iPad?
The greatest selling point of the iPad Pro is its size and system that is a cross between a phone and a laptop. While being portable, they can still perform the functions of a laptop with good battery life.
Also, for creatives, working with an iPad Pro for photo editing, especially using Lightroom is a fantastic world on its own.
iPad's iBook app is also great for reading e-books. The large size, portability, and brightness control features can make reading on your tablet a pleasurable activity. It may even replace your regular e-readers. You can get books from Amazon's Kindle, Barnes and Noble, Kobo and install their readers to read books
