Kõige üldisemalt hõlmab infostrateegia nelja strateegiat:
● infojuhtimise strateegia,
● inimressursside strateegia,
● infoteenuste strateegia,
● infotehnoloogia strateegia.
Infostrateegiat käsitletakse põhjalikumalt alapeatükis 3.4.1.
Käesolev peatükk püüdis lühidalt kokku võtta olulisemad mõisted, mida õpiku järgnevates osades detailsemalt käsitletakse. Infoteaduse põhimõistete ja alldistsipliinide käsitluste paljusus näitab, et neid mõisteid ja valdkondi mõistetakse mitmeti ning eri arusaamade pooldajatel ja vastastel on oma seisukohtade tõestamiseks kaalukaid argumente. Sarnaste mõistete kohta on kasutusel eri termineid ning on mõistetav, et ka eestikeelses kirjanduses on terminite tõlkimisel kontekstist lähtuvaid erisusi. Infoteaduse kontekstis soovitame kasutada õpikus esitatud termineid.
