      That’s us

As the Lord, whoever you are today

Has installed them on his holy mountain

      Six Flags Magic Mountain?

      Where are you now?

      Who is this Lord?

      Zeus again?

      Yahweh? Is that still you?

      You bestow on your believers

All the nations of the world

      Is that your guarantee?

      You will break the leaders

Who violate your laws you say?

How is Herr Hitler and the rest of the despots?

And Papa Joe? How is he?

      Mao? Pol Pot?

      Destroyed no doubt

With a hundred million of your most devout

      The Sanctified

Who died extoling your Holy Name

      Psalm Three

1 God, how are mine adversaries increased! Many are they that rise up against me.2 Many there are that say of my soul,There is no help for him in God. 3 But thou, O God, art a shield about me;My glory, and the lifter up of my head.4 I cry unto God with my voice,And he answereth me out of his holy hill. 5 I laid me down and slept;I awaked; for God sustaineth me.6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of the people That have set themselves against me round about.7 Arise, O God; save me, O my God:For thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone;Thou hast broken the teeth of the wicked.8 Salvation belongeth unto God:Thy blessing be upon thy people.

      Who waits in the dark

      Plotting against me

      Or does darkness do that

      By itself?

In the black pit of my mind

      The voices are laughing

      No one will save me

      From death

      Not even You

      Whoever You are

      I call out

      Help

      To the holy mountain

      And I hear

      Noise

      The world is created

      By the vibration of sound

      And fury

      Or so they say

Now I lay me down to sleep

      Will I awake

With a rifle in my ribs

      “Get up!”

You wonder why I dream of fire

      Intercontinental ballistic missiles

      Blowing up

      My enemies

      Anyone who will sell me

For ten cents on the dollar

      And they will

Break the teeth of the wicked

      Says the Psalm

      Mash the brains

      Fry the faces

      Erase the histories

      Deliver me O Lord

From this darkness you have made

      This darkness

      That is me

      Psalm Four

1 Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness;Thou hast set me at large when I was in distress:Have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.2 O ye sons of men, how long shall my glory be turned into dishonor? How long will ye love vanity, and seek after falsehood? Selah 3 But know that God hath set apart for himself him that is godly:God will hear when I call unto him.4 Stand in awe, and sin not:Commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah 5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness,And put your trust in God.6 Many there are that say, Who will show us any good?God, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.7 Thou hast put gladness in my heart,More than they have when their grain And their new wine are increased.8 In peace will I both lay me down and sleep; For thou, God, alone makest me dwell in safety.

      The directions say

      Play stringed instruments

      Violins, violas, cellos, yo guitars

Answer me when I call to You

      Hello?

I shout and no one answers

      Except myself

      Have mercy on me

      Who am I talking to?

      While the world

      Worships currency

      Assets

      Equities

Who pays for the roof over a newborn’s head?

How can I tell my friends

      To search their hearts

      And be silent

      To trust in the world

      It’s going to be alright

      No, Ma’am

It’s going to be more waiting

      More death

      More suffering

Which only brings wisdom they say

      The wisdom to know

We do not control a single thing

      We can only meditate

On the stillness that is You

      And know

      Even with nothing

      We are not alone

      We are blessed

      With silence

      And with nothingness

      And violins

      Psalm Five

1 Give ear to my words, O God,Consider my meditation.2 Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God;For unto thee do I pray.3 O God, in the morning shalt thou hear my voice; In the morning will I order my prayer unto thee, and will keep watch.4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness:Evil shall not sojourn with thee.5 The arrogant shall not stand in thy sight:Thou hatest all workers of iniquity.6 Thou wilt destroy them that speak lies:God abhorreth the blood-thirsty and deceitful man.7 But as for me, in the abundance of thy loving Kindness will I come into thy house:In thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.8 Lead me, O God, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies;Make thy way straight before my face.9 For there is no faithfulness in their mouth;Their inward part in every wickedness;Their throat is an open sepulchre; They flatter with their tongue.10 Hold them guilty, O God;Let them fall by their own counsels;Thrust them out in the multitude of their transgressions; For they have rebelled against thee.11 But let all those that take refuge in thee rejoice,Let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them:Let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.12 For thou wilt bless the righteous;O God, thou wilt compass him with favor as with a shield.

      Do I ever stop

      Crying out for help

      In
