PROLOGUE
Ever since I was a kid I’ve wondered what was behind our name. I would ask who we are or what lies behind that thing we call soul. I had a thousand reasons to write this book, as well as a thousand doubts. Beyond the desire to find myself, I wanted to let go of this storm of feelings that I was carrying inside. I wanted to share it with the world, so they could experience my transformation, everything that put me here, and that shaped me into the person I am today. So they could see from the darkest place of my soul to the one that shines the most.
Through this book you’ll get to know a lot about me, you’ll even discover a lot about you, and, throughout the reading, you’ll perhaps question the path that each one must travel to change course and try every day to improve in every aspect of our lives.
We all want that, at least most of us.
During the course of our life we’ll meet people that settle with what they have or what they got out of sheer luck; basic people with plain mindsets who don’t want to expand or venture into the unknown, to go a little further, out of their comfort zone... I’ve always been on the opposite side of this, on the other side of the coin. I’ve always been someone eager to learn, to understand, to conquer, to hold, to love…To learn about the darkness that comes with pain and the light of the stars, to understand my mistakes and turn them into an opportunity to learn, to conquer dreams, to embrace my own pain and love the temperance I build every day.
I’m just different from those who settle for the world as it is; an outsider… Probably just like you reading this book. You seek to grow, to change, and to evolve. Or maybe you just want to see life from a different perspective, to try to understand the thoughts that invade our minds at certain times, to be versatile and change as our soul needs it.
In this book I spill out a lot of reasons, illusions, broken hearts, ideologies that I have created in time. In this book, I’m an open book (forgive me for being redundant). I wanted to give away a part of myself within these pages I wrote and let you all know that there is no such thing as “too big” when it comes to dreams, there are no limits other than us. Our desires, our goals can be accomplished if only we keep fighting and never give up.
Knowledge is supposed to be shared, and it has a great value, an unexplainable one.
